If there will be alcohol at the shelter, you will have to secure a permit for alcohol and a Sheriff's deputy/deputies per new parish ordinances. You will first need to call the Bossier Parish Police Jury at 318 965-2329 to secure the permit. You will then have to contact the Bossier Parish Sheriff's office at 318 965-3487 to request a deputy/deputies. It will be one deputy for every 25 in attendance and the fee rate for an off duty deputy is $40.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum.
If there will be no alcohol, you do not have to secure a permit, but you will have to secure a deputy. You will need to call the Bossier Parish Sheriff's office at 318 965-3487 to request a deputy. It will be one deputy for every 50 in attendance and the fee rate for an off duty deputy is $35.00 per hour with a 4 hour minimum.
